Rangers close gap on Celtic

by setanta.com staff , 18 January 2011

Rangers shrugged off the disappointment of Kenny Miller's exit to defeat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0 in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League at Ibrox.

Steven Davis' first-half daisycutter from the edge of the box showed that Walter Smith's men can cope without the influential Miller, who is on the brink of a move to Turkish champions Bursaspor.

The unconvincing win moves the Scottish champions within two points of leaders Celtic, who have played two games more.
