Barcelona skipper Carles Puyol has been ruled out of the Champions League last 16, second leg clash against Arsenal on Tuesday.
The experienced defender and Spanish World Cup winner has been recovering from a serious knee injury, which has ruled him out of action since the middle of January.
However, the crucial game against the Gunners has come too soon for the 32-year-old, which has left Barca manager Pep Guardiola with a selection problem in the centre of defence.
Former Manchester United defender Gerard Pique is unable to play in the game at the Nou Camp due to suspension, so Eric Abidal and Sergio Busquets could be called upon to fill the void.
Barca have no other major injury concerns going into the match as they look to overcome a 2-1 deficit, following defeat at the Emirates in the first leg last month.
