Caley v Celtic is Cup casualty

by JP Lonergan , 13 March 2011

Sunday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final between Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Celtic has been postponed.

The game, which was due to go ahead at Caley’s Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, has fallen by the wayside because of a waterlogged pitch.

An early Sunday morning pitch inspection found it to be unplayable and the game has now been rescheduled for Wednesday with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The rescheduling also means that Celtic’s SPL game at home to Hibernian, which was due to take place on Wednesday, will be rescheduled.
