Paths to Scottish Cup final laid out

by JP Lonergan , 14 March 2011

The draw for the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup was made on Monday.

No team is yet secure of their place in the last four after three draws and one postponement in the weekend’s quarter-finals.

Celtic’s trip to Inverness Caledonian Thistle was rescheduled for this Wednesday because of a waterlogged pitch, with the eventual winners set to face St Mirren or Aberdeen in the last four after they drew 1-1 on Saturday.

The other semi will see either Dundee United or Motherwell (who drew 2-2 in an exciting Sunday tie) play second division Brechin City or St Johnstone after they finished with the same score 24 hours earlier.

Scottish Cup Semi-Final Draw - Ties to be played at Hampden Park on weekend of April 16 and 17:

Dundee United or Motherwell v Brechin City or St Johnstone
St Mirren or Aberdeen v Inverness Caledonian Thistle or Celtic
