Real Madrid are through to the Champions League quarter-finals after beating Lyon 3-0, and 4-1 on aggregate, at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.
Madrid tore out of the blocks, with Cristiano Ronaldo twice going close inside the first 20 minutes and Mesut Ozil pulling the strings in midfield.
Iker Casillas was not tested until the 21st minute, with Aly Cissokho playing the ball in to Delgado. His shot, however, was turned around the corner by the Spanish custodian.
Ronaldo then saw a fierce driver tipped over the bar by Hugo Lloris, but Lyon couldn't keep Madrid out for long.
The opening goal came from an unlikely source, with Marcelo playing a brilliant one-two with Ronaldo before shooting past Lloris.
The half-time break saw Claude Puel replace Jimmy Briand with Bafetimbi Gomis, but again it was Madrid that made all the running.
Constant pressure from Jose Mourinho's men finally paid off when Marcelo's searching ball forward missed Ozil but fell into the path of Karim Benzema to score against his former club.
Angel di Maria put the match beyond doubt 15 minutes from time, collecting Ozil's pass and dinking the ball over Lloris.
