New Cardiff signing Aron Gunnarsson revealed the ambition and hunger of boss Malky Mackay persuaded him to join the club.


The Bluebirds signed the 22-year-old Iceland international after his contract at Coventry had expired at the end of last season.Gunnarsson has spent the last three seasons at the Sky Blues after joining in July 2008 from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and made 48 appearances for during the 2010/11 campaign, scoring four goals.He told Cardiff City Player: "I'd spoken to the gaffer a few times and he seemed really keen to make me a Cardiff City player."

He told me where he saw me fitting into the team and what he thought I could offer so that made my decision a lot easier."
