Fintan Goold takes the place of the injured Ciaran Sheehan in the Cork attack that will face Down on Saturday.
The Rebels face the Mourne men in the All-Ireland SFC fourth round qualifier, just ten months after beating them in the final to bring Sam Maguire back down to Leeside.
The inclusion of Macroom forward Goold at right wing forward is the only change from the side beaten by Kerry in the recent Munster final, with Sheehan having suffered a cruciate ligament injury in that Killarney defeat.
That means that captain Graham Canty keeps his place at full back despite the availability of dual star Eoin Cadogan. Manager Conor Counihan has also retained Aidan Walsh in midfield, after he starred for the Rebels U21 hurlers against Tipperary last week.
