Mulcahy in for Limerick

by JP Lonergan , 23 July 2011

Graeme Mulcahy has been named in the Limerick team to face Dublin in Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC quarter-final.

The forward will wear the number 10 after overcoming an ankle injury and takes the place of Richie McCarthy. Paul Browne, meanwhile, also comes into Donal O’Grady’s side, with Mark O'Riordan dropping out of the team that defeated Antrim in the qualifiers.

The manager’s namesake, meanwhile, is named in midfield but remains a doubt after hurting the  A/C joint in his left shoulder against the Saffrons.

The Limerick football team to face Wexford in Saturday evening’s fourth round qualifier, meanwhile is unchanged, as is the Down side that takes on Cork in a rematch of last year’s All-Ireland final though Anton McArdle, Declan Rooney and Gerard McCartan switch positions. Ambrose Rogers is on the bench.

Kildare complete a trio of unchanged football sides for the qualifiers for their Croke Park encounter with Derry. Darryl Flynn remains in midfield, with Hugh Lynch still injured.
