Owen Coyle says finances will dictate whether Bolton can complete deals for their top targets David N'Gog and Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Speaking to the Bolton News, Trotters boss Coyle admitted that he is hoping to bolster his attack with more signings this transfer window, but conceded any deal will hinge on finances.
He said: "We need strength in depth. I'd like to add another striker and a winger. You probably know who they are but finances will play a part in all that."
It has been widely speculated that Wanderers are looking to add quality to their attacking options with Wright-Phillips and N'Gog, filling the voids left by Daniel Sturridge and Johan Elmander.
Coyle was full of praise for his current squad though who started the season with a resounding 4-0 victory at QPR.
"You've seen a great performance from a group of players we've still got to add a couple of names to and a couple of injuries to come back in," he said.
"When you think what happened in pre-season, it was an absolute credit to see what they did."
