Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling has ended speculation over a potential move to Bolton, due to his age.
The 16-year-old Jamaican-born forward, who has represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 levels, has been linked with a loan move to the Reebok in a deal which some reports suggest could result in Gary Cahill moving to Anfield.
However, Sterling insists that he knows nothing about the reported switch and that it would contravene FA rules, in any case.
The former QPR youth player wrote on social networking site Twitter: "Everyone, nothing has been said to me about a Bolton deal.
"I know as much as you but at the moment I'm too young to go anywhere.
"I'm 16 and you've got to be 17."
Meanwhile, Bolton are reportedly stepping up their interest in another youngster and set to test Rangers' resolve with an improved offer for 20-year-old winger Gregg Wylde.
The Gers have already rejected an initial bid of £400,000 from the Whites, with Ally McCoist keen to tie Wylde down to a new long-term deal at Ibrox.
