Alex McLeish has played down the prospect of getting a frosty reception from the Aston Villa fans ahead of the Blackburn game.
The Villa boss is preparing his side for their first home game of the season at Villa Park, when he will also be unveiled in front of the home fans for the first time since he made the controversial switch across the second city from Birmingham earlier in the summer.
And, while there is the possibility that some sections of the supporters could give him a hard time ahead of the match because of his Birmingham City connections, McLeish is adamant that he is looking forward to the occasion.
He told the club's website: "I am excited. I'm looking forward to walking along the track and seeing the team kicking off, hopefully to victory.
"Ever since I moved across the city, there's been a lot of controversy.
"The first event was away in Hong Kong, the next event was the away game at Fulham and now the next one is the home game against Blackburn.
"You've got to front everyone of these challenges head on. Paul Faulkner took me to meet all the staff at Villa Park and they were tremendous and the structure down there is superb. It's a phenomenal stadium.
"I've been down to the stadium two or three times to get a feel for it and to see all the different groups of people working down at Villa Park doing a fantastic job."
