Milan target Crouch swoop

by Setanta Staff , 20 August 2011 Milan target Crouch swoop

AC Milan have entered the race to sign Tottenham striker Peter Crouch and are poised to make an £8million offer.

Crouch could be on the move before the transfer window closes with Stoke keen to strike a deal while Fulham, Sunderland and Spanish outfit Seville have also been linked.

Potters boss Tony Pulis is thought to have failed with at least one attempt to sign Crouch and his Spurs team-mates Wilson Palacios and that could now open the door for Milan.

The Italian giants have the financial power to complete a deal while a move to the San Siro would appeal more to Crouch, who still has three years remaining on his current deal.

Reports in Italy say Milan see Crouch as the perfect understudy to Swedish ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a bid is imminent.
