Roberto Mancini believes that Samir Nasri could complete a move to Manchester City on Monday.
Mancini watched his City side win 3-2 away to Bolton Wanderers on Sunday, as The Citizens moved to the top of the Premier League table.
After the victory, Mancini was asked if he felt that Nasri would complete his move to City from Arsenal on Monday, and answered: "I hope so."
However, Mancini added to Sky Sports: "I hope we can have the player in the next days.
"I don't know what's the problem. I hope this week we can have Nasri, but don't know when. We have 10 days to the end (of the transfer window)."
Mancini was happy with his side's overall performance on Sunday, but admitted that City have to tighten up defensively if they are to challenge for the Premier League title.
David Silva gave the visitors the lead and a Gareth Barry screamer made it 2-0, before Ivan Klasnic pulled one back for Bolton.
Edin Dzeko put City 3-1 up, but a Kevin Davies header meant a nervy end to the game for Mancini.
"We played very well," said the Italian. "But we suffered until the last second because Bolton are a good team who will always try to score.
"We can't concede two goals like today. We need to pay more attention. If we want a good championship we should pay more attention in these sorts of situation."
