Everton skipper Phil Neville claims there is an air of negativity surrounding the club and it is beginning to have an effect.
A lack of action on the transfer front throughout the summer has seen an air of gloom descend and that was compounded at the weekend with the home defeat to newly promoted QPR but Neville claims there is no excuse for their poor performance.
"It wasn't good enough, I think this is important to say. We can't beat around the bush," the club captain said.
"There feels as if there is a lot of negativity surrounding the place at the moment and everyone can feel it.
"I think it is important to say that there are a lot of good things happening here.
"We have got great foundations, great supporters and a set of players that have done really well these last three or four years."
