Time against Warnock in race for players

QPR boss Neil Warnock has admitted he is in a race against time to land his targets, despite now having cash to splash on new players.

Following Tony Fernandes' takeover at the club, Warnock has money to spend at last, after operating on a restricted budget prior to the take over.

Time is against the Hoops though, and with just a week left to buy players he has warned supporters it may not be as easy as they think to get the players he wants into the club.

"It's alright having money and making offers but getting them to sign and move on with you is a different ball game," he told Talksport.

"In ten days, I've got to do 12 weeks work.

"In an ideal world, we've always done it early, as soon as you've got promotion and gradually done it through the summer.

"It wasn't possible and we've just got to try to grasp this opportunity and strengthen the squad to give us a chance up to Christmas."
