New Zealand secured a 33-10 World Cup quarter-final win over Argentina in Auckland on Sunday.
The underdogs stayed close to the All Blacks for much of the clash, but the fine goal-kicking of Piri Weepu proved crucial for the hosts.
Kieran Read's try confirmed victory, before Brad Thorn went over late on.
New Zealand's Colin Slade, however, having replaced Dan Carter, suffered an injury and is a doubt for the semi-final meeting with Australia.
Weepu scored two penalties before Read was denied a try for putting a foot in touch due to Santiago Fernandez's tackle.
Felipe Contepomi missed a penalty but Argentina then scored the opening try thanks to a fine move involving Leonardo Senatore and Contepomi, with Julio Farias Cabello fighting to get over the line.
Contepomi's conversion edged the South Americans ahead, though their infringements in the ruck allowed Weepu to kick two further penalties to leave New Zealand 12-7 ahead at the break.
Marcelo Bosch booted a long-range penalty but Weepu replied, before Argentina finally began to struggle under All Black pressure.
Nicolas Vergallo was sin-binned and Weepu added another penalty, with the home scrum-half then feeding Read to score New Zealand's first try.
Argentina were a spent force and another Weepu penalty was followed by Thorn ambling over after Jimmy Cowan's break and a pass from Cory Jane. Aaron Cruden's conversion completed the scoring.
