Henry wary of French 'underdogs'

New Zealand coach Graham Henry feels France will thrive as the underdogs in the Rugby World Cup final at Eden Park on Sunday.

The All Blacks and Les Bleus clash in Auckland knowing something has to give as the Kiwis look for their first global title since 1987, while the French are hoping to win the Webb Ellis Trophy for the first time.

Henry managed to keep his job after being dumped out of the 2007 World Cup by France and so he knows more than most just what is at stake.

The 65-year-old said: "This French team, we're not sure who's going to turn up, quite frankly.

"So we've got to prepare that they're going to be the best in the world.

"They've certainly got the individuals to do that, it's just whether they can produce that as a side.

"All the word is that they've prepared well and they're very focused and they're enjoying the underdog tag. They feel that they're not being considered in this final by a lot of people.

"We don't think that. We think they're a very good rugby team."

New Zealand and France have both named unchanged XVs with one change apiece in their replacements.
