Celtic cut Rangers' lead at the top of the SPL with a 2-1 victory over Dunfermline at Celtic Park on Wednesday night.
Gary Hooper gave the Bhoys the lead in the first half when he picked up on a loose pass by midfielder Paul Wallis before racing clear of a static defence and slipping the ball past Paul Gallagher.
The Bhoys' second, which arrived seven minutes later, was also the result of an error in the Dunfermline defence.
Alex Keddie gave the ball away and it fell to Kris Commons. He fed Anthony Stokes inside the box and the Dubliner shot was saved by Gallagher.
However, the Pars 'keeper could only deflect the ball to Hooper, who picked out James Forrest to score.
Beram Kayal's effort from 25 yards was blocked by Gallagher's feet, while Commons shot over the bar, and it seemed that Celtic would put three goals in it when referee Bobby Madden gave a penalty when Paul Burns fouled Forrest.
However, after arguing with Stokes over who would take the penalty, Ki shot wide.
The introduction of Joe Cardle reinvigorated Dunfermline and they breathed some life into the game with Andrew Barrowman's late strike from a David Graham pass, but Celtic managed to hold on.
