Spanish star Rafael Nadal hopes to reclaim the world number one spot in 2012 after seeing Novak Djokovic usurp him.
Nadal suffered defeats in the Wimbledon and US Open finals to Djokovic, which saw the Serb replace the Spaniard as the world number one.
The 25-year-old admits that he has to improve in 2012 if he is to reclaim the top spot but Nadal is confident that he can pick up more Grand Slam titles in 2012, if he makes small adjustments to his overall game.
He told Spanish newspaper El Pais: "I have started to work, fight again.. but clearly I lacked a bit in my level of tennis [in the 2011 season].
"When you have it, your mind responds better. I have needed to be less predictable playing. I have been too predictable many times during the season.
"Those are things that I have to recover for 2012."
