Fontaine missing for Robins

Bristol City will be without captain Liam Fontaine when they travel to Southampton.

The centre-back has been ruled out until February with a knee injury, with James Wilson set to deputise against the table-topping Saints.

Winger Albert Adomah is a slight doubt for the Robins as they look to do the double over the league leaders following their 2-0 victory at Ashton Gate last month.

The Ghanaian wide man picked up minor ankle and calf knocks during the 1-0 defeat at Coventry on Boxing Day but he is expected to recover in time for kick-off at St Mary's.

City have not won in five matches in the npower Championship and have failed to find the net in either of their last two outings.
