No new worries for Reading

Reading manager Brian McDermott has no injury or suspension worries as he prepares his side to face Ipswich at the Madejski Stadium on New Year's Eve.

McDermott is likely to stick with the same starting XI that beat Brighton 3-0 on Boxing Day as the Royals aim to consolidate their place in the npower Championship play-offs.

That means Andy Griffin is set to keep his spot at left-back despite the continued availability of Irishman Ian Harte and youngster Joseph Mills, while Hal Robson-Kanu will have to make do with a place on the substitutes' bench.

Robson-Kanu missed the Seagulls clash through injury but should return to the matchday squad this weekend.

Midfielder Brian Howard has returned to the Berkshire club following the conclusion of his loan spell at Millwall but is unlikely to play a part against the Tractor Boys.
