Clijsters satisfied with comeback

Kim Clijsters says that she is slowly working her way back to her best after returning to action in the Brisbane International.

Clijsters saw off Romania's Simona Halep in the first round of the tournament with a fairly straightforward 6-1 6-4 win.

Afterwards, the Belgian said that she is getting back to full fitness following seven months out with a wrist injury, and is looking forward to building up to the defence of her Australian Open title later this month.

"For a first match this was pretty good," she said.

"In the second set there were a few little errors that I need to focus on in my next match. But overall I had a good feeling, I felt that I was playing aggressively, so I was pretty happy with that.

"It's important for me to get back into that kind of match rhythm.

"I think it's difficult to get into that rhythm of playing matches a couple of days in a row."
