Beram Kayal will miss Celtic's trip to Dunfermline in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League on Monday.
The midfielder was stretchered off in the 1-0 win over Rangers on Wednesday, which saw the Bhoys take over at the top, with an ankle injury that will keep him out for at least a month.
New signing Mikael Lustig, meanwhile, will not be involved.
Dunfermline's Joe Cardle has recovered from the illness that would have ruled him out of Wednesday's postponed match at Motherwell.
Craig Easton and Kevin Rutkiewicz are not expected to feature as they aim to improve their match fitness, while the Pars have lost Jason Thomson from their squad, after he returned to Hearts following his loan spell at East End Park.
Dunfermline sit at the foot of the SPL table, but are just a point behind Hibernian, with a game in hand.
