Jol hints at Trotta loan

by Setanta Staff , 24 January 2012 Jol hints at striker loan exit

Martin Jol has admitted that he could look to loan out Fulham forward Marcello Trotta before the transfer window closes next week.

The Cottagers boss is in a quandary over the highly-rated 19-year-old Italian forward, who has already impressed on a loan spell with League One strugglers Wycombe Wanderers this season, where he scored eight goals in as many games.

Jol will have to make a decision whether to try and find a Championship side willing to take Trotta in the next week or keep the player at Craven Cottage as valuable first-team cover.

Jol told the Chronicle: "I've got a few other players who are desperate to go out on loan, but for the next four or five days I want to make an assessment.

"Maybe Trotta could be a case of going on loan again, but if we got an injury to Bobby Zamora, for example, I might have to make a decision to keep him."
