Striker deal back on

by Setanta Staff , 25 January 2012 football news

Sao Paulo striker Henrique could be on his way to QPR after all - if the club make it a permanent move rather than a loan.

It was claimed last week that the deal to bring the Brazilian to Loftus Road had collapsed because he was not granted a work permit, that has been denied by Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Lopes.

He claims the deal hit the blocks because the FA did not like the loan deal and, if it were to be turned into a permanent move, it could be back on.

"It was said that he was denied [a transfer] but this is not true, the FA would only authorise the deal if it was permanent," Lopes toldGloboesporte.

"The FA did not agree with the deal that was going on, so we will now meet again [wtih QPR] and try to come to an agreement."
