Andy Robinson has rung the changes ahead of Scotland's RBS Six Nations opener against England on Saturday.
In total there are eight changes from the team which began Scotland's most recent Test, the 16-12 loss to England at the Rugby World Cup, with uncapped Edinburgh wing Lee Jones handed his first start.
Jones and number eight David Denton are the only two players in the starting XV who were not part of the World Cup travelling party and both will be eager to prove their worth to Robinson.
Lock Jim Hamilton, flanker Ross Rennie, scrum-half Chris Cusiter, fly-half Dan Parks, centre Nick De Luca and full-back Rory Lamont have also been named in the starting line-up for the Calcutta Cup clash.
Ross Ford will captain the side with former skipper Al Kellock missing from the second row where Hamilton and Richie Gray take their place.
De Luca will join up with Sean Lamont in centre with the former coming in for the injured Joe Ansbro.
There is a strong look to the bench with Scott Lawson, Geoff Cross, Al Kellock, John Barclay, Mike Blair, Greig Laidlaw and Graeme Morrison named as replacements.
