Cisse sure of survival

by Setanta Staff , 02 February 2012 football news

Striker Djibril Cisse is "100% confident" QPR will survive in the Barclays Premier League after scoring on his debut in the 2-2 draw at Aston Villa.

Cisse only obtained clearance to play following £4million move from Lazio an hour and a half before kick off but needed just 12 minutes to break the deadlock.

"It is a good thing for us that we have signed Bobby Zamora. The objective is to stay in the Premier League," Cisse said after watching his side earn a point at Villa Park.

"We need good strikers and good players, it is good to play alongside a good striker and Bobby fits into that category.

"But, from what I saw against Villa, I was really impressed and 100% sure we will stay up."
