Gatland happy with Wales preparations

Wales head coach Warren Gatland believes his side are in good shape ahead of their Six Nations clash with Ireland on Sunday

The Welsh make the tough trip to Dublin boosted by the news centre Jamie Roberts and fly-half Rhys Priestland have both recovered from knee injuries.

Wales managed to come out on top the last time these two sides met in the World Cup last year, as Gatland saw his team reach the semi-finals of the tournament in New Zealand.

Now the Kiwi coach is hoping for a similar result this weekend and believes his players are fit and ready to take on the Irish in the all-Celtic encounter.

Gatland said: "We have been working hard and we feel we are approaching this match with the right attitude and with some good preparation work done.

"We are two sides who know each other well; Ireland will not have enjoyed losing to us in New Zealand, they will want to redress the balance in Dublin this weekend, but they will find us in just as determined mood."
