Taiwo eyes longer stay

by Setanta Staff , 09 February 2012 football news

QPR's on loan left back Taye Taiwo has revealed he would like to stay at Loftus Road on a permanent basis.

The Nigerian is contracted to AC Milan but has joined Mark Hughes' side until the end of the current campaign but, after a steady start, he is already looking ahead to a longer association with the club.

Taiwo had not settled in Italy after moving from Marseille last summer and had only made four first team appearances for the Rossoneri.

"The fans didn't believe in me in Italy but I'm happy here and QPR want to sign me on a permanent basis," he said.
