Ronald Zubar’s representative has denied reports that the defender has been transferred to Wolves.
The powerful Marseille centre back, who is yet to establish himself at the Velodrome, is reported to have put pen-to-paper with Mick McCarthy’s Wolves.
But a member of the player’s entourage has denied that the Guadeloupian has left L’OM.
Setanta.com met with McCarthy in Bordeaux at the end of May, while the manager was believed to be looking for Ligue 1 stars to strengthen his team, ahead of the new Premier League season.
“No, it is rubbish,” said a representative from the Zubar camp. “For the moment there have only been contacts with Wolverhampton, as there is real interest on their part.
“But other contacts also exist and nothing’s done.”
Twenty-three-year-old Zubar only appeared 17 times in the French league this season.
