Shamrock Rovers are through to the fourth round of the FAI Cup, after a 3-0 third-round replay win over Drogheda United at United Park.
Dessie Baker opened the scoring on 28 minutes when he ghosted into the box to head past Paul Skinner, after Tadgh Purcell had crossed from the right wing.
Purcell netted himself on 82 minutes after being set free down the right by Sean O'Connor, then scored his second of the night two minutes from time after controlling goalkeeper Barry Murphy's long kick-out.
Sligo Rovers knocked out Cork City with a 2-1 extra-time win at the Showgrounds.
Guntars Silagailis opened the scoring for the away side when he poked home Danny Murphy’s fifth minute corner, but Sligo levelled on 41 minutes when Rafael Cretaro arrowed home Owen Morrison’s pass through the legs of Cork goalkeeper Dan Connor.
Danny Murphy saw his penalty saved by Sligo goalkeeper Richard Brush on 111 minutes, and the Bit O’ Red made Cork pay for the profligacy two minutes later when Cretaro headed home his second from a Sean Doherty cross.
Monaghan United beat Leinster Senior League side Cherry Orchard 4-0 in their replay, with goals from Sean Brennan, Cathal O'Connor and two from Barry Clancy, all in the first half.
