Bohemians defeated Sligo Rovers, Dundalk won at Cork City, Derry City beat Bray Wanderers and Drogheda United saw off St Patrick’s Athletic in the League of Ireland Premier Division on Friday evening.
On Saturday, a second half header from Dessie Baker gave Shamrock Rovers a 1-0 win over Galway United at Tallaght Stadium.
Bohs maintain a one-point lead over Derry at the top of the table following the night’s action, while Shamrock Rovers take over third place from Cork.
Shamrock Rovers 1-0 Galway United
On Saturday, a second half header from Dessie Baker gave Shamrock Rovers a 1-0 win over Galway United at Tallaght Stadium.
Greg Cameron missed a penalty for Rovers on 48 minutes, his kick tipped onto a post by Barry Ryan.
Baker grabbed the only goal on 52 minutes when he headed home Sean O'Connor's cross.
Bohemians 2-0 Sligo Rovers
League of Ireland Premier Division leaders Bohemians made light work of defeating Sligo Rovers at Dalymount Park.
Bohs dominated the first period against their under strength opponents, but failed to open the scoring until seven minutes into the second half when Gary Deegan netted from close range following Anto Murphy's shot across goal.
Jason Byrne made sure of the win when he put away a 72nd-minute penalty, after Steve Feeney had handled in his own box.
Cork City 1-2 Dundalk
Cork City goalkeeper Dan Connor was at fault for both Dundalk goals as the The Lilywhites won 2-1 at Turner’s Cross live on Setanta Ireland.

Dundalk moved up to fifth in the table thanks to a Chris Turner penalty and a fine effort from Michael Daly in the first half.
Also in the first period, City’s Shane Duggan was sent off, though Denis Behan gave the hosts hope with a superb strike from 20 yards with eight minutes remaining.
Dundalk, however, defended manfully thereafter to ensure the victory.
Derry City 2-0 Bray Wanderers
Derry City kept up the pressure on Bohs at the top of the table following victory over Bray Wanderers.
The Brandywell men got off to a great start, Kevin Deery's deflected shot from the edge of the box beating Bray 'keeper Chris O'Connor.
Derry added their second on 38 minutes when Mark Farren swivelled in the Bray box and drilled home a finish.
The hosts had Clive Delaney dismissed for kicking out at Paddy Kavanagh with 15 minutes to play, but had little trouble seeing out the game in the closing stages.
Drogheda United 1-0 St. Patrick's Athletic
Shane Barrett netted the only goal of the match as Drogheda United won at home to St Patrick's Athletic.
Barrett lit up what had been a poor affair, curling an excellent effort beyond Gary Rogers just after the half hour.
Pat's had the better of the second half, but Jamie Harris headed two decent chances wide while Drogheda keeper Paul Skinner did well to prevent an Alan McNally own-goal, as the home side moved off the bottom of the table.
