Three hurlers from the Mullagh club have been hit with 48-week bans by Croke Park's Central Competitions Control Committee.
The ban mirrors the trio's initial punishment for assaulting referee Christy Helebert in a bad-tempered County semi-final last October.
That sanction was reduced to 12 weeks when the players appealed to the Galway Hearings Committee but Helebert found that reversal unacceptable.
He sent a file to the National Referees Administration and the CCCC subsequently decided that the initial suspension of almost one year must apply.
Davey Glennon, who won an All-Ireland minor medal last September, John Rafferty and Galway senior hurler Conor Dervan are the three players involved.
