Kilkenny selector Martin Fogarty has confirmed that the defending champions will be without Eoin Larkin for the start of the National Hurling League.
Larkin sustained a hip injury playing for James Stephens' in the club championship and with his recovery progressing at a slow pace, Fogarty admits the Cats will be unable to call on the attacker for some time.
"I'd say that we will be without Eoin for the early part of the league," Fogarty is quoted as saying in the Irish Independent.
"So far, Eoin is only able to do a bit of light training on his own, and it will be some time before he will be able to return to full training with the rest of the lads."
