McGrath to referee replay

The GAA has confirmed the appointment of referee James McGrath for the All-Ireland SHC Final replay between Kilkenny and Galway.

Barry Kelly took charge of the drawn match earlier this month but under GAA policy, officials are changed in the event of the replay.

McGrath was the man in the middle when the two sides met in the Leinster SHC final, a match Galway won, while he also refereed the Allianz League final between Kilkenny and Cork and the 2009 minor and 2010 under-21 finals.

Kelly has been confirmed as one of the linesmen for the replay along with James Owens.

The minor competition has also gone to a replay with Alan Kelly set to take charge of the match between Tipperary and Dublin on the same afternoon.
