Romeu could be on the move

Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu could be on the move now the loan window is open and Bolton are being linked with a swoop.

Romeu has slipped further down the pecking order following the arrival of a host of new players at Stamford Bridge this summer and Roberto Di Matteo is happy to let him leave on loan.

Bolton have been long time admirers of the former Barcelona man and do have an option to take a Blues player on loan as part of the deal that took Gary Cahill to west London.

The Trotters have just landed Jay Spearing from Liverpool on a season-long loan deal but following a disappointing start to the season, Owen Coyle is planning further additions.

Clubs outside of the Premier League are now free to take players on loan and Romeu could be on the move sooner rather than later.
