Same again for Donegal

The Donegal team to face Mayo in Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC Final is the same team that started the semi-final win over Cork.

Donegal impressed when beating the Rebels by 0-16 to 1-11 and manager Jim McGuinness has kept the faith in the 15 players that started that day despite some niggles.

Ryan Bradley was not at his best in the semi-final and was replaced after 29 minutes with McGuinness admitting he had played with a shoulder injury.

Centre-back Karl Lacey and centre-fielder Neil Gallagher picked up hamstring injuries while playing for the clubs but all three have been passed fit and will take their place in the line-up for Sunday’s final.

“Ryan has started for us in every game in the Championship this year and has been playing well,” Donegal assistant manager Rory Gallagher is quoted as saying in the Irish Examiner.

“We are very fortunate in that we are selecting from a fully fit squad. A couple of players had minor strains, but they have all been integrated fully back into our training again and they’re all good to go for the weekend, thank God.”

Donegal (SF v Mayo): P Durcan; P McGrath, N McGee, F McGlynn; E McGee, K Lacey, A Thompson; N Gallagher, R Kavanagh; R Bradley, L McLoone, M McHugh; P McBrearty, M Murphy, C McFadden.
