Kelly Pavlik's team are eyeing a bout with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr for their man’s return to the ring.
Former middleweight champion Pavlik has not fought competitively since he was cut and beaten by Sergio Martinez as he lost his crown in Atlantic City in April.
However, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is now pushing for a fight between him and Chavez in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium this December.
"That's the fight we are looking to do," Arum was quoted as saying by ESPN.com.
"We were sitting around having drinks and we came up with it," Arum said. "We checked with (Chavez’s trainer) Freddie Roach and he loves the fight. Cameron (Duncan, Pavlik’s co-manager) checked with the Pavliks and they love the fight, so let's get it on.
"We're going to move ahead in the next couple of weeks and get the deal done. I think we can do a lot of business with that fight."
Chavez, son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez, recently earned a unanimous 12-round win over Irishman John Duddy and is set to take on one more bout in September before a possible face-off with Pavlik.
