Roberto Martinez has tipped his deadline day duo of Franco Di Santo and Tom Cleverley to have big futures in the game.
The 21-year-old Argentine striker Di Santo joined from Chelsea on a full-time basis and midfielder Cleverley has opted for a year on loan at the club rather than sit on the sidelines at Old Trafford or go to the Championship.
Martinez said: "He (Di Santo) has always had that dream of earning the chance to play for Chelsea and now he can focus on playing for Wigan and being himself.
"I have seen him play many games for Audax in Chile and all I want is for him to recover that level and if he does that we will enjoy a lot of good football from him."
On Cleverley, he added: "In my eyes Cleverley is one of the top English prospects in the game.
"And when you get players from clubs like Man United you know you are getting players who are disciplined, perfectly coached, and who have that vital footballing arrogance, as well as great tactical awareness."
