Farah makes Christmas sacrifice

Mo Farah has arrived in Kenya as he steps up his training ahead of the Olympics in 2012.

The 5000 metres world champion has travelled to Africa to take part in an intensive training camp as he looks to get in the best shape possible ahead of the Games next summer.

Farah will be away from his wife and daughter over the Christmas period but admits that it is a sacrifice he had to make to give himself the greatest chance of success.

"If I want to compete against the (best) guys and do well in 2012 then I must go out there and do what I need to do," he told Sky Sports News.

"I'm going to be in Africa on Christmas Day in Iten, Kenya at a training camp.

"I've just got to go out there and train hard. It's not too far to go before the Olympics so I've just got to get my head down, keep focused and train hard."
