Nick Dougherty expects to be fit for this week's Dubai Desert Classic despite suffering a wrist injury during practice.
Dougherty injured his right wrist when he slipped and fell heavily on his right hand on Tuesday morning. He was treated by an on-course doctor before having the wrist strapped in the medical office.
Despite the injury the Englishman is confident he will be able to tee off as planned on Thursday.
"It’s just one of those freakish things when I slipped and in trying to break my fall I hurt my wrist," he told Reuters.
"The good thing is that I've still got two days to the start of the tournament, so I will just take it easy with the doctor saying I should be okay for Thursday."
