Louth have announced that Brian Donnelly has been ruled out of Sunday’s crucial clash with Meath, but Paddy Keenan is fit.
Donnelly will miss the National Football League Division 2 relegation clash at Navan due to an ankle injury. The midfielder picked up the knock during the draw with Derry two weeks ago.
The Cooley Kickhams star, who has been in fine form, will be a major loss for the Wee County, but it has been confirmed that Donnelly's regular midfield partner, Keenan, will return to the starting XV. The captain missed the last clash, but merely as a precaution.
Gerry Hoey, meanwhile, is another to return to the fold for manager Peter Fitzpatrick's side.
