Nico Rosberg was lost for words after claiming his maiden Grand Prix victory in China.
Rosberg had produced a sensational time to take pole position in qualifying but few expected the Mercedes to maintain its pace in the race after encountering problems in both Australia and Malayasia.
However, Rosberg led from the start and crossed the line over 20 seconds clear of his nearest rival Jenson Button but he admits he was somewhat surprised by his pace around the Shanghai International Circuit.
"(It is an) unbelievable feeling. (I am) very cool, very happy and very excited. It's been a long time coming for me and the team," Rosberg said.
"We didn't expect to be that fast today. We knew we had good chance to be in the front but we didn't expect to be that fast.
"Thanks to whole team for working very hard also, and for improving the set-up. I was struggling in first two races with race pace but here it came good."
"It is fantastic. It's been the perfect weekend.
"Everything couldn't be better. I'm very happy. It was a great race and it's impressive to see how we have progressed so quickly. We had struggled in the first two races, but we made some changes and it has all come good. I am happy for all of us and I was looking forward to seeing how we get on."
