Mickey Harte will remain in charge of the Tyrone senior football team until at least the end of the 2015 Championship campaign after agreeing a new three-year contract.
Harte has been at the helm of the Red Hand footballers since 2002 and he has earned himself legend status by guiding the county to three All-Ireland SFC titles.
He had entered the final year of his term as manager and the Tyrone County Board has moved quickly to secure his services for a further three years.
"It is a great privilege to be asked by the county committee to take charge of the Tyrone senior football team and I gladly accepted that offer," Harte told TyroneGAA.ie.
"To be asked to manage the best players that your county has to offer is still a wonderful honour."
