Tottenham's hopes of landing Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar have increased after Schalke revealed the player could move on.
The striker was in fine form last season when firing home 29 goals for the German outfit and, according to reports, Spurs are keeping tabs on him after Schalke admitted he could go at the right price.
An offer of £17million would activate a release clause in the player's contract and Tottenham along with Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with a swoop.
Spurs will not be helped though by the lack of a manager at White Hart Lane and they need to get a new man in place as soon as possible in order to ensure they do not miss out on targets.
