Sport Matters is a new series which started on February 10th on Setanta Sports Ireland which explores the forces shaping Irish sport in the 21st century.

Each week for 15 weeks, Daire O Brien and Ger Gilroy will examine the reasons why sport has become so central to our lives and the sociological, psychological, historical and political influences that have reshaped sport beyond just a game into something much more important than that.

We will be talking to Sports Psychologist Dr PJ Smyth and  performance consultant Enda McNulty about getting the best out of your game.  Also in studio, top golf caddy Colin Byrne talks about his life on the bag.
