Burnley have completed the loan signing of Portsmouth striker David Nugent until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has been with the Clarets for the first half of the campaign but returned to Portsmouth last week after his loan expired.
Burnley boss Brian Laws had previously made it clear that he wanted to keep the striker at Burnley and announced on Monday that the player will now be at the Turf Moor club for the rest of the season.
Nugent has scored three times in 17 appearances during his loan spell and is understood to be delighted to return to Lancashire.
