Leaders Brentford aim to go 10 points clear when they face Wycombe in this top of the table clash.
Brentford v Wycombe
Brentford boss Andy Scott looks set to hand Gary Smith just his second start of the season for this promotion six-pointer after the midfielder came through the midweek win at Barnet unscathed.
But Smith’s return was tempered by news that Kevin O’Connor is a doubt for the Bees after being withdrawn in midweek.
Wycombe boss Peter Taylor looks set to hand a debut to new signing John Akinde who joined on a month’s loan from Bristol City this week.
Taylor swooped after fellow loanee Stuart Beavon was ruled out for two weeks after a groin strain, while skipper David McCracken may also miss out after aggravating a knock in the 1-0 defeat at Lincoln on Tuesday.
Chester v Grimsby
Mariners midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala faces a late fitness test as Grimsby travel to Chester for a true relegation six-pointer.
Mike Newell’s men dropped back into the relegation spots after the midweek defeat at Chester and will be hoping the influential Kalala returns.
For Chester, without a win in 15 games, Richie Partridge is pushing for a first team jersey after being the only bright spot in the midweek drubbing at home to Rotherham.
Boss Mark Wright has no fresh injury concerns for the visit of The Mariners and will be hoping in-form midfielder Kevin Ellison, who has two goals in two games, can notch again.
Exeter v Bradford
Exeter boss Paul Tisdale may ring the changes against Bradford after Liam Sercombe, Craig McAllister and Daniel Seaborne impressed midweek.
The trio made impressive second half cameos and Tisdale may use them from the start as he wields the axe following the 3-1 reverse against Bournemouth.
Bradford boss Stuart McCall will have Keith Gillespie at his disposal after the former Manchester United winger signed on the dotted line this week.
Gillespie, who has 81 Northern Ireland caps, may be thrust straight into the starting 1XI as McCall looks to get his Bantams back on the promotion trail following a 3-0 defeat at rivals Rochdale this week.
Gillingham v Shrewsbury
Gills boss Mark Stimson has a full squad to work with after Andy Barcham’s substitute appearance midweek complete his rehabilitation.
Mark Bentley was substituted midweek with a virus but should be fit while winger Albert Jarrett continued his return to full fitness with 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek.
Shrewsbury frontman Michael Symes is battling to be fit for The Gills clash after missing the midweek trip to Aldershot.
If Symes misses out he will join a busy Shrews treatment table which has seen Mike Jackson (knee), Dave Hibbert (foot) and Kevin McIntyre (fractured tibula) all sidelined in recent weeks.
Aldershot v Luton
Skipper Rhys Day is battling to prove his fitnessto take his place in the Aldershot side for the visit of rock-bottom Luton, after injuring an ankle midweek.
Day, a former Wales Under 21 international, saw out the 90 minutes despite injuring the ankle before the break and he is Gary Waddock’s only fresh concern.
Luton boss Mick Harford’s injury list was dramatically reduced when Kevin Nicholls, George Pilkington, Lewis Emanuel and Rossi Jarvis all turned out for the reserves this week.
The trip to The Rec may however be too much too soon for the quartet as Luton look for another win on the road after seeing off Notts County 2-0 on Tuesday.
Chesterfield v Dagenham & Redbridge
Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson should name former Newcastle keeper Tony Caig on the bench after the 34-year-old signed this week.
Caig - who has been playing for North-American outfits Houston Dynamo and Vancouver Whitecaps - should be in the matchday squad as Chesterfield look to make it six games unbeaten.
Freefalling Dagenham, who have won just three of their last 15, received further bad news this week when Mark Nwokeji was ruled out for the remainder of the season following a knee operation.
Colchester loanee Jamie Guy, who notched his first Daggers goal in midweek, will continue to lead the line in Nwokeji’s absence.
Lincoln City v Bury
Lincoln will be lacking Derby loanee Paris Simmons for the visit of high-flying Bury after the frontman returned to Pride Park for treatment on an ankle injury.
The Imps, buoyed by the midweek 1-0 win over promotion challengers Wycombe, also are denied the services of Danny Hone and Lenell John-Lewis.
Bury manager Alan Knill won’t be able to call on keeper Mark Tyler at Sincil Bank after the on-loan keeper returned to Peterborough midweek.
Macclesfield v Bournemouth
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has a mini injury crisis as his side look to establish some breathing space in the relegation battle.
Alan Connell is absent on compassionate leave while Shaun Cooper, Steve Fletcher and Marvin Bartley are all doubts as The Cherries look to make it four games unbeaten.
Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander may hand a start to Izak Reid after the former defender impressed after coming off the bench midweek.
Reid, 19, might have pulled one back for The Silkmen as they went down 2-0 against local rivals at Accrington and could start as Alexander shuffles his pack.
Morecambe v Barnet
Barnet boss Ian Hendon is sweating on the fitness of Michael Leary for the trip to Morecambe after the midfielder was injured midweek.
Midfielder Joe Devera missed Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat against league leaders Brentford but has now shaken off a bruised kidney.
Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy looks set to name an unchanged side from Tuesday’s draw at Bury, a point which extended their unbeaten run to ten games.
Henry McStay looks set to continue deputising for Danny Adams at the back while Mark Duffy and Aaron Taylor will again sit on the bench despite their midweek cameos.
Notts County v Accrington Stanley
County manager Ian McParland’s preparations have been rocked by news that his midweek centre-back duo are doubts for the Accrington clash.
Tann (back) and Hunt (ankle) are struggling but midfielder Adam Nowland’s return gives McParland something to smile about.
The Accrington injury plot thickened this week when Sean McConville, due to play with a cast on his broken wrist, injured an ankle.
Chris King is also out with a thigh problem and Leam Richardson an injured pelvis while Peter Murphy is a long-term absentee.
Port Vale v Darlington
Under fire Port Vale boss Dean Glover received more bad news this week when defender Gareth Owen injured his ankle against Dagenham & Redbridge in midweek.
Luke Prosser comes in for Owen while Lee Collins should be fit enough to play after recovering from a back injury.
Midfielder Ricky Ravenhill is a welcome return for injury-hit Darlington who have only one fit first-team striker in Danny Carlton.
Pawel Abbott, Greg Blundell, Franz Burgmeier, Neil Austin and Robin Hulbert are all sidelined as Darlington, who were recently docked ten points after entering administration, see their luck go from bad to worse.
Rochdale v Rotherham
Rochdale boss Keith Hill will leave it late before naming his team to face Rotherham with a number of players battling to prove their fitness.
Ciaran Toner missed their last outing with an Achilles injury while Gary Jones has a groin problem.
Rotherham boss Mark Robins will not alter a winning formula and looks set to stick with the same XI that thrashed struggling Chester 5-1.
