Leaders Burton remain five points clear of Cambridge following a crushing win over Weymouth.
Weymouth 0 Burton 5
Two goals from Lee Morris got Burton’s title charge back on track after three defeats on the trot as they piled more misery on woeful Weymouth.
The former Derby star began the rout from the edge of the box in the 23rd minute and Shaun Harrad made it two nine before the break from close range.
Harrad then played in Keith Gilroy to add a third two minutes before half-time and the points were sewn up six minutes after the break when Morris grabbed his second.
The Terras battled hard but their night was summed up when Gavin Hoyte put through his own net four minutes from time to complete the scoring.
Barrow 0 Cambridge 2
Chris Holroyd’s second-half double fired Cambridge to their fourth successive win to keep the heat on Burton.
The in-form U’s dominated the opening period with Courtney Pitt and Anthony Tonkin bringing fine saves from Tim Deasy.
But they finally made their pressure count just after the hour mark when the former Chester striker smashed past Deasy from six yards.
And the points were in the bag eight minutes from time when Holroyd got on the end of Dan Gleeson’s cross to slide home from 12-yards.
Histon 4 Grays 1
Jamie Barker hit a hat-trick in the first-half hour as Histon blew Grays away at Bridge Road with a blistering opening.
The Stutes winger set the tone in the tenth minute when he headed in Gareth Gwillim’s cross and Antonio Murray made it two seven minutes later from the edge of the box.
Murray then teed up Barker to add a third on 24 before he completed his haul with another header from Jack Midson’s cross.
Andy Pugh got one back on the stroke of half-time and Barry Cogan went close in the second half but the result was never in any doubt.
Northwich 1 Wrexham 2
Former Premiership star Matt Jansen opened his Wrexham account as The Red Dragons returned to winning ways at gutsy Northwich.
The Vics took a 13th minute lead when new-boy Kyle Perry took advantage of a defensive mix-up to tap home from close range.
But the lead lasted less than a minute when Jansen turned Mat Bailey and fired past Ryan Clarke from 18-yards.
Jansen somehow blazed over after rounding Clarke after the break but his blushes were spared when Nathan Fairhurst’s rocket flew past the home keeper 17 minutes from time.
Kettering v Lewes
Jean-Paul Marna kept Kettering’s play-off hopers alive and moved Lewes another step closer to the drop.
Marna grabbed his ninth goal of the season in the 24th minute when he confidently hammered home Gareth Seddon’s cross.
On-loan Havant midfielder Shaun Wilkinson and youngster David Wheeler were denied an equaliser by brilliant Lee Harper saves before the break.
Marna should have added a second late-on as the managerless Rooks rarely threatened after the restart to stay in deep trouble.
Eastbourne Borough 0 Salisbury 0
Mid-table outfits Eastbourne and Salisbury battled out a bore draw at the Langney Sports Club.
Sports had the better of the first half but boss Garry Wilson saw skipper Paul Armstrong, Nathan Crabb and Matt Smart all fail to take chances.
Salisbury then edged the second period but home goalkeeper Lee Hook secured the point when he produced a fine save to keep out Charlie Griffin’s header.
Forest Green 1 York 1
York sub Onome Sodje earned The Minstermen a priceless point at The New Lawn with a late equaliser.
Rovers lead at the break when winger Paul Stonehouse broke before crossing for Kaid Mohamed to beat Michael Ingham.
Rovers Conal Platt whistled a long-range pile-driver inches wide as City clung on at the start of the second half.
Ben Purkiss then had their first attempt on goal as they finally came to life before Sodje showed his predatory instincts four minutes from time from the edge of the box.
