Chelsea ace Deco is likely to be back in action at the weekend, according to Portugal’s physio.
The Blues’ part-time manager Guus Hiddink did not expect his midfielder to be return before the end of the season after he picked up a groin injury against Manchester City a fortnight ago.
But the Portugal international has been working hard to be available for his adoptive country’s vital World Cup qualifier against Sweden.
And the national team's medical chief Henrique Jones has proudly announced that Deco will be ready to play on Saturday despite having failed to take part in a training session.
Jones told O Jogo: “Today [Wednesday] was almost the last stage of his comeback to the pitch and it proved totally positive.
“Frankly I would say that he will be able to play on Saturday.”
